Tom Flanagan on Inman Connect NYC 2011 Panel
Posted 01/04/2011Providence, RI (January 4, 2011) — Residential Properties Ltd. is pleased to announce that Thomas Flanagan, Director of Information Technology, will be featured as a panelist at the 15th annual Real Estate Connect in New York City on January 12th. As part of the “Connect Tech” track of the conference, this overall seminar will give CTOs, developers, entrepreneurs and product managers an opportunity to explore innovation in a program tailored to geeks, not marketers.
Tom will be a panelist at the portion entitled “The Death of Flash? Can we move beyond closed systems and on to the open web?” This segment ponders if HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript can really help you go cross-platform with your app. He will be joined by Michael Belak, Chief Information Officer at Metropolitan Regional Information Systems, and Josh Sharfman, Chief Technology Officer at the California Association of REALTORS®.
A graduate of the New England Institute of Technology, Tom has a wide range of knowledge in Technology, Platforms and New Media, with emphasis on design and usability. Tom has been a speaker at both local and national events covering such topics as Social Media, Branding and Usability. Since September 2010, Tom has been featured as a weekly technology columnist at Inman News, a online site that provides real estate news for Realtors® and brokers.
Tom has managed the technology and internet world for Residential Properties since 2005, focusing on technology infrastructure, website development, and promoting social networking among the sales agents. He currently resides outside of Providence with his wife Kathy and daughter Marley Grace.
