Posted 02/06/2009CNBC television association European and African Property Awards have announced that Jawitz Properties has won Best Real Estate Agency and Best Property Marketing awards in one of the world’s most prestigious real estate competitions.
The CNBC European and African Property Awards received hundreds of entries from the regions in all categories to find the world’s best real estate companies and professionals. The objective of these awards is to encourage excellence in the property industry worldwide and to promote an international standard. The award will be presented at a gala dinner to be held in London on 27th September.
The fact that Jawitz Properties has earned these coveted awards is recognition that South Africa can compete and triumph within this highly competitive arena. Having been given this high recommendation by its peers, the company is now eligible to display the Property Awards’ logo.
Entries were judged by a panel of highly respected professionals whose collective knowledge of the property industry is unsurpassed by any other property awards. Chaired by Eric Pickles, British shadow secretary of state, this year’s judges included, amongst others Helen Shield, editor-in-chief of International Homes magazine; Peter Bolton King, chief executive of the National Association of Estate Agents and Phil Spencer, property expert and presenter of Channel 4’s Location and Relocation TV shows.
Herschel Jawitz, CE said of the award: “It is a fantastic achievement especially given the fact that it is the first time we have entered the competition and have won. Most importantly it is recognition of what we have achieved as a company and as a brand not only in terms of what we do but also recognition of our values and how we do business.
“I am sure that it will also give our clients great comfort and confidence to be working with Jawitz Properties as an award winner especially in the current residential market,” he says.
